Unified Modeling Language (UML)

UML is currently managed by the Object Management Group (OMG). OMG is a not-for-profit computer industry specifications consortium. The organization has members that define and maintain the UML specification. The organization publishes many documents for the purpose of enterprise integration standards for a wide range of technologies, and an even wider range of industries. UML is one of the documents published by OMG. The standards enable powerful visual design, execution and maintenance of software and other processes. To model in UML, you must have a compliant modeling tool from IBM or other vendors.
