Course Description
This course enables students to install, configure and maintain
IBM WebSphere Application Server network deployment V.6, and to
deploy enterprise Java applications in a single machine or clustered
configuration. The course covers WebSphere Application Server V6.0
for Windows 2000, AIX, Linux, and Solaris platforms. Hands-on lab
exercises are provided throughout the course.
Course Objectives:
- Relate WebSphere Application Server to the WebSphere family of
products
- Describe the architectural concepts related to WebSphere
Application Server V6
- Install and configure WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP
Server (HIS)
- Explain the basic concepts of the Java 2 Enterprise Edition 1.4
platform
- Assemble and install server-side Java enterprise applications
using Application Server Toolkit (AST) and WebSphere Rapid
Deployment (WRD)
- Use WebSphere Application Server administrative tools to
configure and manage enterprise applications
- Explain WebSphere Platform Messaging (WPM)
