Course Description

Users of Rational RequisitePro will benefit from taking this introductory course, which provides a basic familiarity with the IBM Rational RequisitePro product for creating and managing requirements that are used throughout the lifecycle of a project. The course is usually combined with Mastering Requirement Management with Use Cases (RMUC). Instructor shall 'inter-mingle' the concept of Requirement Management (RMUC) with this course in setting up and using a project documentation and repository system for capturing and managing the changing requirements of a system using IBM Rational RequisitePro. The course emphasizes how a managed approach to requirements management will contribute to project success. Participants gain a general understanding of how to use IBM Rational RequisitePro to manage project scope by understanding the requirement attributes and using traceability. Participants also learn to assess the impact of the changing requirements of a project.

The primary audience consists of business and requirements analysts. Additional audiences may include technical, QA and documentation managers, project leads and executives, application experts, salespersons, testers, designers and other software developers involved in requirements creation, specification, use and/or management.

Prerequisite:

There are no prerequisites for this course. It is recommended that students have attended the Requirements Management with Use Cases course.
