Business Improvement and Monitoring
Today's ever changing business climate demands an agile organization that will be able to change
when competitions arise. In order to change, organizations must understand the details of their
business processes, and managing the business processes to accomodate changes. This is to ensure
that efficiency and complete control of the organizations happen at the top level when changes to
the organizations occur.
In Asimetris, we believe very strongly in the management of business process, known as the Business
Process Management (BPM). What is BPM? BPM is a solution that consists of a collection of
instruments with which you can model your enterprise business processes, perform activity-based
costing, simulate the processes and deploy them. And then-while the processes are executed-monitor
and manage them.

Five-Capabilities Instruments for BPM
|
|
Model. The ability to model the business processes of your company in a computer
simulation that graphically represents the flow of work across people and application systems.
This capability also includes the design of new, innovative business workflows across people
and systems, and shows the business benefit of the redesign. Implementation of the new design
is automatically passed to the integrate capability of IBM WebSphereŽ Business Integration
Server, creating rapid time-to-value through easy implementation of your desired business
processes.
|
|
Integrate. The ability to integrate people, policies and application software systems of
your company so that underlying business processes operate at their most effective level.
This capability of business process integration is an extension of past enterprise
application integration (EAI) capabilities so that now your company cannot only connect
applications to share information, you can also redesign the business processes across those
applications and the flow of work among people who use them. Often referred to as EAI, the
definition has been expanded to include business process integration and now BPM.
|
|
Connect. The ability to connect multiple enterprises within a value chain. This
capability provides for exposure and integration of your company´s business processes so
that they are integrated across enterprises, enabling more efficient business-to-business
cooperation.
|
|
Monitor. The ability to track business events of your company in near realtime
through their execution in the software systems of the enterprise and across the value chain.
This capability is often referred to as business activity monitoring.
|
|
Manage. The ability to show immediate information about business operations of
your company and to generate alerts to line management about unfavorable conditions through
customized dashboards. This capability leverages the WebSphere Business Integration Monitor
function and provides the operating view of the company to line executives not possible
with conventional reporting.
